A content machine that runs itself.
300+ scripture meditations batch recorded, assembled, scheduled, and published — including through an entire paternity leave — using a system I built from scratch with Notion, AI, and a very specific format.
Context
Day and Night Meditations is a scripture meditation podcast built around a specific format: one verse, read seven times, with silence and ambient music. No commentary. Just the word and space to let it land.
The vision was always bigger than one episode at a time. But doing it manually was a bottleneck. With a baby arriving, I needed the system to run without me.
Solution
Research. Used AI to explore scripture topics by season, theme, and audience need. Grouped them into batch recording sessions.
Recording. Recorded component pieces modularly rather than recording full episodes one at a time.
Assembly and scheduling. Built a Notion production kanban tracking every episode from Not Started through Recorded, Assembled, Scheduled, and Published. Used AI to write title conventions and episode descriptions at scale. Iterated Canva thumbnail templates for visual coherence across seasons.
